A Fresh Start for Old Appliances: The Ethical Way to Recycle

In a world that produces millions of tonnes of electronic and metal waste each year, recycling isn’t just a choice—it’s a responsibility. At Ethical Recycling, we believe it should be easy, accessible, and above all, ethical.
It Starts with One Drop-Off
You’ve got an old fridge that’s barely cooling, or a washing machine that’s finally called it quits. Most people aren’t sure what to do with bulky appliances. That’s where we come in.
Our free scrap metal drop-off zone is open seven days a week during business hours. Just bring in your unwanted metal items—large or small—and we’ll handle the rest.
We also accept refrigeration units, including refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners. These items often contain ozone-depleting refrigerants that must be properly decommissioned before recycling. Many recycling centers don’t handle this, but we do it right here on-site.
More Than Just Recycling
We follow a simple but powerful philosophy: Reuse. Repair. Repurpose. Resell.
If an appliance can be fixed, we fix it.
If parts can be salvaged, we salvage them.
If it has a second life, we find it.
If it's beyond repair, we dismantle it responsibly—keeping harmful substances out of the environment.
This approach keeps valuable materials out of landfills and contributes to a circular economy where waste becomes opportunity.
Doing the Right Thing
Ethical recycling is about more than compliance—it’s about conscience. Every appliance you bring in is a chance to make a difference:
Reduce environmental harm
Support local repair initiatives
Decrease demand for raw material mining
Provide affordable, refurbished goods to the community
When you choose Ethical Recycling, you’re choosing transparency, care, and long-term impact.
